With summer just around the corner, I find myself longing to visit places close to fresh water.  Naples, Maine is hard to beat in that category.  Surrounded by multiple lakes and ponds, Naples checks off many summertime boxes for locals and visitors alike.  Next time you're looking for something to do, head to Naples for a day of fun!

Naples Causeway

Giving the same vibe as the boardwalks of Old Orchard Beach, and the quaintness of Bar Harbor, the Causeway is the place to be in Naples.  Play a round at Steamboat Landing Mini Golf, take a cruise with live music on the Songo River Queen, or even just a sunset stroll along the causeway itself will fill you with all the summertime feels.

Gary's Olde Towne Tavern

There are several restaurants that I could write about in Naples.  However, none of them could possibly be more visually unassuming than this one. When you drive by this 1860's farmhouse, and realize that it houses a restaurant, I'd guess most people think "...huh", and then, of course, the intrigue sets in and eventually, takes hold. This pub and its fare are known lovingly by the locals.  A jam-packed calendar of live music and entertainment for their outdoor stage draws in the masses.  If you're looking for Michelin Star dining, maybe keep driving, but if you're looking for good food and a ton of fun, then head on in.
