With a change of season just around the corner, it can make you crave a change in your surroundings. Maybe you're feeling like your home looks a little dull, or you feel like something is missing but you can't quite place what it is.  What about feeling like you need a pop of color, but don't have the time or the energy to paint?  Why not try a plant?

You don't have to be an expert on plants to have a plant in your house.  They can be as simple as a faux plant.  Target has many starting at just $5.00.  They don't have to break the bank to look authentic.  Just that slight pop of color will make a difference on any table, bookcase, or windowsill.

There are benefits to having a live plant in your house.  Studies have shown that they help to boost moods, clear out allergens and air pollutants, increase creativity, and reduce stress.  Worried that a live plant in the house might take too much time and might be too hard to take care of?  Good Housekeeping has a great article on 22 of the best indoor plants. You can find it here

You never know.  You might become like me and start with one small plant and end up with many.  "Dear succulents, I promise I'll never desert you." ~unknown
