I could write you all a book about Scarborough and its many beautiful beaches, but you already know about those. I wanted to share some lesser-known, but equally idyllic, spots in Scarborough to check out next time you're in the neighborhood.
Salt Pump Climbing Company
If you've dreamed of one-day scaling rock faces in Colorado, or you have a toddler who builds their own American Ninja Warrior courses in your living room, I'd suggest visiting this place. They have all of the equipment you'll need, an incredible facility, and expert staff ready to lend a hand with instruction. No need to file this under a "rainy day activity." This will easily become a weekly family outing.
Nonesuch River Brewing
When you drive by, the exterior of the building stands out and draws you in at the same time. It's beautiful, and the interior doesn't disappoint either. Whether it's the delectable cuisine, the carefully crafted beers, or the tantalizing cocktails, their menu consistently impresses with its freshness, seasonality, and above all, unparalleled deliciousness!
Blackpoint Surf Shop
We would be remiss if we didn't highlight at least one salt-water-related Scarborough spot. A fully stocked shop displays anything you could need for a day of riding waves, and their repair department is ready for whatever mishaps may occur. The branded merchandise is vibrant and perfect for summer days spent near the water. Rent a board, take a lesson, and drop into your first of many waves of the season.
